Terms

Short and plain on purpose. See Privacy for how your data is handled.

What this is

Noos Notes is a free, personal writing tool: a private place to write, and a way to mail a Writing to your own future self. It's built and run by one person, still under active construction. Some things described on this site — signing in, syncing across devices, and Letter delivery — are launch capabilities being built, not all live yet; the site says so plainly wherever that applies.

Using it

Use Noos Notes for your own personal writing. Don't use it to store or send anything illegal, to harass or impersonate anyone, or to try to break, overload, or abuse the service. We can suspend or remove access for accounts that do.

Your writing is yours

Whatever you write remains yours. We don't claim ownership of it, read it for our own purposes, or use it to train anything. We access it only as needed to operate the product (for example, delivering a Letter you scheduled) or when you ask us to.

No warranty

Noos Notes is provided as-is, built by a solo developer, without a formal uptime or support guarantee. We take reasonable care with your data (see Privacy), but we can't promise the service will always be available or error-free, especially while it's still early.

A scheduled Letter is a real commitment

When Letter delivery is live and you schedule one, that's a genuine commitment on our part to deliver it — not a decorative feature. If we ever can't safely honor new commitments (for example, a real operational problem), we stop accepting new ones rather than making a promise we can't keep.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product grows. Meaningful changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of this page.
